Aeriz is searching for a full-time Harvest Supervisor - for our state-of-the-art indoor aeroponic cannabis production facility in Riverbank, CA.
The successful candidate will possess a passion for horticulture, excellent interpersonal skills, and strong cannabis knowledge with a willingness to continually learn more about the subject.
Position Overview: The ideal Harvest Supervisor will direct workflow and lead others during harvests.
The ideal candidate for this position is equally comfortable directing others and carrying out tasks themselves.
They will work with the growers to inspect product during harvest for quality defects to ensure the procedures are being followed and meet specific requirements set forth by the Cultivation team.
The Harvest Supervisor will report directly to the Cultivation Manager and work on-site at our facility in Riverbank, as well as work directly with the Production Manager on post-harvest operations.
Responsibilities Responsibilities: • Manage all day-to-day operation of harvest room and direct workflow.
• Develop and write department SOPs.
• Train all employees on proper harvest and post-harvest techniques.
• Coordinate harvest schedules with guidance from the Cultivation Manager to ensure a successful harvest.
• Directs the team in carrying out procedures and schedules.
• Diagnose plant health, pests, and other plant quality issues while coming up with the best solution to harvest product with pest identification assistance from Cultivation.
• Work directly with the Production Manager to monitor and manage environmental control systems and parameters for drying and curing areas.
• Maintain open communication with management team and employees; must be able to give verbal and physical directives, provide training information, and mentor employees as necessary.
• Maintain shared documents of all harvest data including plant wet and dry weights, unusable waste for each batch, quality control concerns, and other plant metrics.
• Ensure proper labeling, tagging, and traceability of plants, including plant counts, both physically and in METRC, and correct plant inventory discrepancies immediately.
• Establish manpower requirements to meet schedules.
• Monitor and manage Harvest Tech performance, report on metrics, demonstrate accountability for department performance.
• Propose and lead in corrective actions should issues arise.
• Ensure all waste is disposed of properly.
• Ensure daily sanitation and cleaning according to company SOPs.
• Conduct required laboratory sampling and manifesting.
• Other duties as assigned.
• Maintain Wet Cure Setpoints.
• Works closely between both Head Grower and Post Processing Manager.
Qualifications Qualifications • Associate degree, preferably in Plant Sciences and/or Agriculture related disciplines OR equivalent experience.
• 3-5 years as a cultivator in a large-scale indoor cannabis operation preferred.
• Experience with automated systems preferred.
• Experienced with mixed light growing preferred.
• Experience diagnosing, preventing, and treating plant health issues preferred.
• Experience creating production schedules required.
• Ability to manage people, provide day-to-day supervision, and handle employee related issues.
• Ability to gather, track, and report on agricultural information obtained during harvest tracking.
• Ability to develop and document SOPs.
• Available to work during Harvest and Testing activities.
• Experience overseeing 20,000 square feet or more of canopy.
• Clear understanding of harvest dry room conditions and setpoints focused on obtaining high quality product.
• Working knowledge of measurement tools to determine readiness of product for next stage(s) in process flow.
• Knowledge of OSHA, 5S, and Lean Manufacturing is preferred.
• Active Driver's License and be a minimum of 21 years of age.

While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear.
The employee is frequently required to stand, walk, reach, bend, climb, stretch and lift up to 50 pounds.
Requires the manual dexterity to use and operate all necessary equipment and hand tools.
Work Environment: This position can involve a fair amount of manual labor when needed, which requires repetitive tasks.
This position operates indoors which can reach different temperatures.
This position may require working at heights up to or exceeding 10 feet.
The Cultivation Department operates on weekends and holidays, and standard work hours may apply regardless of day or season.
