POSITION DESCRIPTION
Assist with installing and maintaining local desktop, maintain system documentation.
Provide technical support to users with the help of support desk and network team.
Assist network team in trouble shoots problems with network equipment and performs equipment repair or upgrades when appropriate.
Individuals in this position are expected to be available during the normal business hours of the establishment and may occasionally be asked to vary their schedule and/or work overtime to meet department requirements.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Assists with installation, configuration, maintenance, modification, and operation of Local Area Networks.
Provide technical support and assistance to network users such as password resets and creating email accounts.
Install PCs, software, and peripheral equipment.
Assist with PC, network configuration and cabling.
Assist to administer and maintain end user accounts, permissions, and access rights.
Install, configure, and maintain network cabling and other networking equipment.
Assists with installation, configuration, maintenance and troubleshooting of network connected end-user hardware, software, and peripheral devices.
Management of computer labs, installing any software needed for each quarter and/or special events.
Travel to off-site location may be required.
Assists with ordering software, hardware and other supplies as required for the institutional computer network, personal computer, and computer labs.
Assists with maintenance of the phone system.
Assist with the setup of technology for meetings, orientation/in-services, conferences, events, etc.
This might require travel to an off-site location.
May perform other duties as needed.

POSITION QUALIFICATIONS
Associate degree in computer science, data processing or related field.
Three years of IT/Helpdesk support experience is desired.
Ability to install software and hardware on networking equipment and microcomputers.
Familiarity with a variety of networking and personal computer software.
Ability to troubleshoot and perform routine maintenance on, computers and peripheral equipment.
Ability to communicate information to staff and the public in a clear and concise manner.
Ability and desire to work as a member of a team.
Ability to effectively present information in one-on-one and group situations to other employees and/or students of the organization.
Able to anticipate the needs of others and work independently.
Ability to focus on quality outcomes and adapt quickly to change as necessary.
Ability to prioritize tasks and manage deadlines appropriately.
