Position Summary Information
Scope of Assignment
Teaching a variety of computer graphics courses.
Minimum Qualifications
Any bachelor’s degree and two years of professional experience, or any associate degree and six years of professional experience.
Desirable Qualifications
•Physical or digital portfolio including pieces that strongly demonstrate a sophisticated esthetic sensibility
•A Master of Fine Arts (MFA) in Art, Graphic Design, Video, Photography or Photo, Web and/or Animation skills from an accredited college or university.
•Two years of experience teaching at the Community College level or higher.
•Demonstrated commitment to keeping current in Digital Arts and changing technologies.
•Versatility with the Adobe applications such as Adobe CS5.
5 Suite (or higher) which includes Photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, and After Effects.
•Evidence of an ability to communicate effectively both orally and in writing

BACKGROUND CHECK: A background investigation of new employees is required, including reference checks and a state criminal history report.
Employment will not begin until the history check has been cleared by Human Resources.
The cost for the criminal history report will be the responsibility of the successful candidate.
TRANSCRIPTS: At the time an offer of assignment is made, proper salary placement is contingent upon receipt of OFFICIAL (sealed) transcripts.
Instructors with advanced degrees and coursework shall be placed on the appropriate salary column and step up to step 10.
Initial salary placement will be at the first column/step until official transcripts have been submitted to Human Resources and placement processed.
Note: there is a separate salary range for summer school.
