We are looking for a full time receptionist whom we can train to become a benefit coordinator.
We need this individual to assist in the back 20-30% of the time until we grow enough to hire an additional assistant in the back.
Initially, the position will be considered a floater, then a full time receptionist, and finally, if proven to be capable, we will train you to become a full time benefit/insurance coordinator.
Responsibilities:
- Greet and welcome patients as they arrive at the dental office
- Answer phone calls and schedule appointments for patients
- Maintain patient records and update medical history as needed
- Assist with billing and insurance claims processing
- Coordinate with dental staff to ensure smooth patient flow
- Handle patient inquiries and provide necessary information
- Follow office protocols and maintain confidentiality of patient information
-when needed, you will assist in the back with sterilization, cleaning and setting up rooms, assisting the doctor and the hygienist, and taking x-rays.
Experience:
- Previous experience as a dental receptionist or in a similar role preferred
- Familiarity with our dental scheduling systems, Eaglesoft
- Knowledge of dental terminology and dental office procedures
- Proficient in using phone systems and handling multiple calls simultaneously
- Strong organizational skills and attention to detail
