REPORTS TO: Executive Director of Community Hospice Foundation
SUMMARY: Under the general direction of the Executive Director of Community Hospice Foundation (CHF), the Gift Services Coordinator processes gifts, produces donor and family acknowledgements and manages the fundraising database.
This position works closely with Finance department to reconcile monthly giving with financial records.
This position also works closely with entire Community Hospice Foundation team to reach campaign goals, engage donors and provide administrative support.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Manages the day to day operations of the fundraising database, to ensure data integrity and system health; creates and maintains highly-complex systems for donor, prospect, gift records, and donor and family acknowledgements; proactively creates and updates codes, tables, queries and outputs, conducts sensitive system changes and external data imports.
Delivers accurate and efficient daily gift entry for all fundraising campaigns.
Manages online giving transactions for recurring donors.
Creates campaigns, appeals and funds and insures data is linked and reported appropriately.
Work with CHF staff to ensure data accuracy and operational objectives are met.
Liaison with the Finance Department.
Prepares regular monthly reports and other reports as requested in a timely manner.
Prepares preliminary income expense statements on events; reconciles daily and monthly financial reports with Finance Department.
Analyzes and recommends gift revenue accounting procedures aligned with industry best practices on gift and revenue reporting.
Develops and maintains online donation policies and processes for Classy, Facebook and other online donation portals.
Develops and implements analytical reports for campaigns and events.
Informs CHF team members regarding gifts to ensure proper stewardship.
Manages Matching Gifts program to ensure all eligible gifts are matched.
Provides troubleshooting and training to CHF staff as needed.
Works with volunteers on fundraising events and memorial events.
Follows all CHF and Community Hospice policies and procedures including, but not limited to, safety, human resources and confidentiality.

Other duties as assigned, including work in other areas to cover absences or relief to equalize peak work periods or otherwise meet the needs of the organization.
Associate’s degree required
At least two years gift entry experience or nonprofit clerical experience; typing minimum 45 wpm.
Strong organization skills
Computer competency with IBM/PC network, and proficiency with primary Microsoft Office tools (Outlook, Word, Excel).

Must possess valid California driver’s license and current automobile insurance.
